It has been a year of growing and changing for us as the Alumni Council. We are privileged with the task of helping you connect with Redeemer. Part of that change is our new and improved nomination process for the Distinguished Alumni Award. We want to highlight stories and dig deeper into who our alumni are. This new nomination process will be able to help us do just that. This year, when you nominate an alumnus, the Selection Committee will reach out to the top 3-5 candidates, and provide them with questions to allow them to highlight their contributions in a personal way. We are excited about this and hope it puts less pressure on the nominator.

We are also introducing the voting in of new Alumni Council members. If you would like to represent our 6,000+ alumni and help them stay connected to Redeemer, then you should apply! We are accepting applications until mid-April. Everyone in the Alumni Association will have a chance to vote in the new council members in May. Stay tuned! Whether you live in British Colombia, Nova Scotia or somewhere else across the world, we’d love to have representatives from far and wide, representing all ages. I would encourage you to have a look at the voting process here and reach out if you have any questions.

One final change is the introduction of new annual reunions! We鈥檙e excited to introduce the , happening on Friday, May 25, as well as our brand new and highly anticipated 10, 20 and 30 Year Reunion in November. If you graduated in 2008, 1998 or 1988 and we don’t have your mailing information, please fill out an alumni update form so we can mail invitations to you.

As always, we’d love to know what you’re up to. Please share it with us by emailing alumnicouncil@redeemer.ca.
