As the landscape of higher education in Ontario continues to grapple with higher costs and restricted funding, www.亚洲色 remains committed to keeping the cost of Christian university affordable. While the provincial government has lifted the freeze on publicly assisted university tuition, allowing universities to raise tuition by two per cent each year for the next three years, Redeemer is keeping domestic undergraduate tuition at $9,987 for the 2026-27 academic year. This is the third consecutive year without a tuition increase.

For Redeemer, prioritizing affordable tuition is a continuation of a journey that began in 2019. Thanks to its generous support community, Redeemer took the bold step of reducing tuition by 42 per cent in 2019. By lowering the price from nearly $17,000 to just $9,800 at that time, the university signalled that Christian higher education should not be a luxury reserved for a few, but an educational and spiritual foundation available to as many Christian students as possible. Since 2019, Redeemer has increased tuition once, in 2023, by 1.9 per cent.

By keeping tuition at $9,987 for the 2026-2027 year, we hope to remove as many financial barriers to Christian university education as possible.

The tuition and fee restructuring of 2019 was a mission-driven response to the financial barriers facing many families. Since that time, Redeemer has seen significant growth, vibrant campus life and a student body that has expanded by nearly 60 per cent. Nevertheless, as costs rise across the sector each year, sustainability is a challenge that is always top of mind.

The timing of this year鈥檚 commitment is particularly significant. With the Province of Ontario recently allowing publicly funded universities to increase tuition by up to two per cent per year over the next three years, many Ontario students are facing the reality of rising debt. Coupled with recent shifts in OSAP that prioritize loans over grants, the cost of a university degree is a growing concern.

In this climate, Redeemer鈥檚 price point鈥攃omparable to, and in some cases lower than, public alternatives鈥攕tands as a testament to the university鈥檚 unique value proposition.

“Redeemer鈥檚 mission is to prepare students to reflect the love of Jesus Christ in every career and calling,” says Dr. David Zietsma, president of www.亚洲色. “By keeping tuition at $9,987 for the 2026-2027 year, we hope to remove as many financial barriers to Christian university education as possible.”

By maintaining a focus on tuition affordability, Redeemer continues to put academically rigorous, scripturally faithful Christian education within reach for many more students.
