As 2025 draws to a close, we take a look back on a year of mission-driven growth. 2025 affirmed the vital relevance of a Christian liberal arts education, evidenced by the largest student enrolment in Redeemer鈥檚 43-year history and the successful launch of Redeemer鈥檚 first graduate program, a distinctly Christian master of education. From the ribbon-cutting of an expanded Wellness Centre to the completion of the transformative Learn. Forward. strategic plan, God has blessed Redeemer with continued growth and momentum.

1. Redeemer set another enrolment record this fall welcoming 1,117 students and the thriving campus community also reached new heights with a record 585 students choosing to live in residence this year in Largest Student Enrolment in 43-Year History.
2. Designed by Christian teachers for Christian teachers, Redeemer launched a new master of education, its first graduate program in Distinctly Christian Master of Education Launches.
3. An integrated and expanded Wellness Centre opened its doors in February, supporting students with mental and physical health and wellbeing in Helping Students Flourish.

4. In October, the university celebrated the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea and the Nicene Creed, which affirmed the important truth that Christ is 鈥渙ne in being鈥 with God the Father in 1700 Years of Defending Christ.
5. This year saw the completion of Redeemer鈥檚 2020-2025 strategic plan, with significant milestones like the construction of the Charis Live and Learn Centre, greater Reformed worldview integration, the launch of four new degrees and the renaming and rebranding of the university in Wrapping Up Learn. Forward.
6. Redeemer鈥檚 athletics program was named a 2025 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) #KingChasing Institution, demonstrating the university鈥檚 commitment to integrating Christ in athletics in Excellence in Christian Athletics.
7. Redeemer students collaborated on real-world projects with Hamilton children and youth to help research safe routes to school right in Redeemer鈥檚 neighbourhood and recreational spaces in rural areas of the region in Innovating for Youth Well-Being.
8. Jennifer Ranter Hook 鈥06 was awarded the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award for her work founding and leading a non-profit ministry for foster and adoptive families in Blooming Where You鈥檙e Planted.

9. Within the Peter Turkstra Library, Redeemer has established the H. Evan Runner Reading Room, which houses the Cal Seerveld collection in Introducing the H. Evan Runner Reading Room.
10. Dr. Kevin Flatt, professor of history and associate dean of humanities, discusses the state of the Canadian church, secularization theory and trusting in God to sustain his church as he launches his new book this month in Hope for the Canadian Church?
