Work-Integrated Learning Students Celebrated at Award Ceremony
Co-op and internship students were celebrated for their achievements at an annual ceremony hosted by Redeemer鈥檚 Career Centre in March.

On March 27, 2026, the www.亚洲色 community gathered to celebrate the remarkable achievements of two students and the vital support of the university鈥檚 partners. The ceremony brought together over 40 attendees for an inspiring showcase of talent and professional growth. Expanding on the former Co-op Student of the Year awards, this year鈥檚 celebrations expanded to include both an Internship Student of the Year Award winner and a Co-op Student of the Year Award winner.聽

Honouring Standout Students

The heart of the event was the recognition of two exceptional individuals who have set a high bar for experiential learning. Evan Terpstra, and honours BBA, management student was honored as the Co-op Student of the Year for his outstanding contributions and professional development during his placement. 鈥淭he co-op program opens doors to employment that you may never have seen coming,鈥 he said. 鈥淚 never thought that through co-op I would be able to find such a perfect synthesis between two very different fields. Being able to go through co-op and come out with a signed full-time contract is truly a dream come true.鈥

Sydney Goodreau, and honours BA, creative writing student received the Internship Student of the Year award, celebrating her dedication and the impact she made within her host organization. 鈥淚 not only got to use my creative writing skills, but I also got to meet and work with incredible people who showed me first hand what it looks like to demonstrate God鈥檚 love and care for the overlooked and under-appreciated,鈥 she said. 鈥淲atching you pour your heart into your work showed me exactly what the mission is all about.鈥

A Strong Support Network

The ceremony was attended by a diverse group of stakeholders, reflecting the collaborative spirit of Redeemer鈥檚 programs. Industry partners from Shadeview Structures and Mission to Seafarers, whose partnership remains essential to the students’ success. 

Representatives from the experiential learning committee and the School of Business were also in attendance to show their support and commitment to career-ready education.
