With record numbers for incoming class, total enrolment and residence life, more students are finding value in an academic journey integrated with their faith.
This academic year, Redeemer is celebrating new records in total enrolment, incoming class size, full-time students and students living on campus.
1,094 students are enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year, 97 per cent being full-time students. This is a 37 per cent increase from enrolment five years ago. Redeemer has welcomed 366 new students to campus, which includes both first-year students and transfer students.
Students from every Canadian province are attending Redeemer, as well as 12 new international students. This year, in total, Redeemer has 40 international students from an additional 33 countries, including the United States, Nigeria and Brazil. The university continued to welcome students from a wide variety of church backgrounds, coming from 46 denominations. Reformed churches continue to be the most common denominational affiliation, with non-denominational and Baptist churches having significant representation as well.聽
Redeemer鈥檚 residence program also saw incremental growth with 556 students living on campus this year鈥攁dding slightly to last year鈥檚 record. Both first-year students and upper-year students are benefitting from living in Christian community in a variety of residence options.
Setting new records in total enrolment and new students reflects the desire for many families and young people to find purpose and meaning through their academic journey.
More students are choosing to study within Redeemer鈥檚 unique Reformed Christian mission, attracted by expanded program offerings, tuition affordability and strategic recruitment efforts. Last fall, Redeemer had its largest visit day ever, which concluded with by internationally known worship band Rend Collective.
