During the last leg of their 2016 tour, Redeemer鈥檚 Concert Choir sang 鈥 twice 鈥 in the Centre Block of Parliament. While touring the parliament buildings, they were invited by staff to sing a piece in the Library and then again in the Peace Tower. The pieces were captured on smartphones and shared widely on social media.
The choir sang 鈥淥 Magnum Mysterium鈥 by Morten Lauridsen in the rotunda of the Peace Tower in Parliament鈥檚 Centre Block.聽Andr茅 Schutten, director of law and policy and general legal counsel, captured videos of the performance from the second floor of the Peace Tower. Schutten shared a clip of the performance in a Facebook post. It has been viewed nearly 20,000 times since Schutten posted it yesterday. Schutten praised the choir for a 鈥渞everent performance within the grandeur of the halls of Canadian power.鈥
