This January, fourteen Redeemer students became the inaugural recipients of membership on the Provost鈥檚 Honour List. Those students achieved a term grade- point average (GPA) of 11.5 or higher (on a 12-point scale) during their fall term鈥檚 courses. The Provost鈥檚 Honour List was created last year by the University Senate as a way of honouring those students who attained outstanding academic achievement. Recipients receive a certificate and have the award noted on their academic transcript. Prior to the fall 2014 term, all students who achieved a term GPA of 9.5 or higher were placed on the Deans’ Honour List. The Deans’ Honour List still exists for those students who achieve a term GPA of 9.5 to 11.49 but the Provost’s Honour List now extends recognition to those students who achieve a term GPA of 11.5 or higher. 鈥淥n behalf of the Redeemer community,鈥 notes Dr. Doug Needham, Provost and Vice President, Academic, 鈥淚 congratulate students on both lists for their academic achievement and accomplishments.
