President Krygsman speaks at Hamilton Economic Summit
One of many community leaders to speak on Hamilton's exciting future

This past June, President Hubert Krygsman spoke at the seventh annual Hamilton Economic Summit 鈥 an initiative produced by the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce to promote the City and its potential. Modelled on the TED Talks, the Summit included concise talks by leaders of Hamilton鈥檚 pillar institutions ranging from education and health sciences to transportation and municipal government. 鈥淗amilton is home to our country鈥檚 most diversified economy and is routinely cited as the top place in Canada to invest,鈥 said Chamber president and CEO Keanin Loomis. 鈥淲e鈥檙e experiencing a period of growth not seen for generations. It鈥檚 time to be loud and proud about Hamilton鈥檚 strengths as a leading midsize city within one of the world鈥檚 most dynamic mega regions.鈥 Dr. Krygsman was invited to speak at the event. In his talk, he focused on Redeemer鈥檚 place in Hamilton and the post-secondary environment in Ontario. He cited 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award winner Graham Cubitt as an example of the type of contributions Redeemer grads are making to the city and to the community.
