Redeemer鈥檚 campus got a splash of colour this September. The vibrant red leaves of a Red Maple tree now give shade at the start of the pathway to the Meadowlands. The tree is a gift and legacy from recent Redeemer alumni. The tree sits behind residence Augustine Hall and will provide a shady resting spot to students on their way to the soccer fields, to church in the Meadowlands or heading to and from classrooms and residences. The Maple tree already shows a rich red for fall. The splash of colour was specifically requested by the graduating classes who donated the tree. The tree is a graduating gift from the classes of 2011, 2012 and 2013. 鈥淭his gift was chosen to leave a lasting legacy and to bring a touch of colour for current and future Redeemer students to enjoy as they walk the well-traveled path to the Meadowlands,鈥 enthused Kristin Schonewille, who coordinated the planting with representatives from each class and with Campus Services and building staff.
