The landscape of the local church is evolving, and church leaders–who are often volunteers–are encountering a widening scope of responsibility for which they may have little to no training. Through short, online modules on administration, human resources and congregational care, Redeemer’s Church Leadership microcredentials equip church leaders, administrators, board members and volunteers with a variety of practical leadership skills to better serve their churches and wider communities.
Through the Church Leadership microcredentials, a successful learner will:
Learn how to approach matters of administration and finance with confidence to ensure institutional health and fruitful ministry. This microcredential covers topics such as budgeting and fundraising, strategic vision, decision making and meeting management.
Learn how to manage people effectively and ensure a supported and safe ministry environment. This microcredential covers topics such as recruiting and developing staff, creating a healthy church workplace, managing volunteers and implementing safe policies.
Learn how to create a healthy congregational culture in which people are discipled effectively and shepherded compassionately. This microcredential covers topics such as small groups, weddings and funerals, demographic sensitivity, cultural challenges and responding to human brokenness.
