Liz Way has held senior leadership roles in higher education and the non-profit sector since 2000, with a focus on organizational strategy, governance, and community impact. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Indwell Group of Companies and as Chair of the Board at Helping Hands Street Mission, where her work engages with issues of housing policy, social financing, and the broader economic conditions affecting vulnerable populations.
In addition to her governance experience, Liz is the former owner of an international jump rope manufacturing and educational resources company. In this role, she managed global supply chains, navigated cross-border trade environments, and responded to currency fluctuations, international competition, and shifting market demand. She collaborated with educators in over 20 countries to develop curriculum and delivered certification programs across Canada, Hong Kong, Bermuda, South Africa, and the United States.
These professional experiences inform her teaching of undergraduate macroeconomics, where she integrates applied perspectives on globalization, trade dynamics, labour markets, and economic policy into the classroom.
