Join www.亚洲色 on March 9, 2026 for a free public lecture hosted by the Albert M. Wolters Centre for Christian Scholarship. The Wolters Centre is pleased to host Dr. Channon Visscher for the 2025-2026 Wolters Lecture for the natural sciences and mathematics area.

In this talk, Visscher will explore some of the scientific stories that reveal a creation shaped by both regularity and contingency鈥攆rom the violent formation of the Earth鈥檚 moon to the remarkable diversity seen across thousands of planetary systems鈥攁nd we鈥檒l consider how scientific theory-making is itself an act of both discovery and creativity as we engage a dynamic and revelatory world.

Dr. Channon Visscher serves as research scientist at the and professor of chemistry and planetary sciences at . His teaching and research interests include exploring and modelling planetary and astrophysical environments, the formation and history of planetary systems, origins stories (cosmologies and cosmogonies) and the relationship between science and religion. He recently co-edited and maintains an active collaborative in the planetary and astrophysical sciences.
